Requirement to tryout for the team:
– 11 Intermediate + in the challenge or Junior category
– 20’ inch riders only
– Must be willing to race out of province to attend National championship in
Calgary (August 27, 28), Alberta Provincial Races, Edmonton & Stony Plain BMX
– Must be willing to complete the Saskatchewan Provincial series.
– Must fill out a google form prior to May 27th, 2022
Weekend Events:
Training sessions:
Training sessions will be 2 hours. During the course of each session we will be
covering:
– Fundamental skills (pumping, manualing, jumping)
– Gate technique
– Race strategy
– Cornering
– Off track training methods

Team Saskatchewan Race-off:
Athletes trying out for the Saskatchewan team will be group into motto’s and will
complete a race (3 mottos & possible main)
– The panel will be watching racing to watch riders during a race setting

Two hour training session: 2:00pm- 4:00pm
Two hour training session: (if more then 20 riders are trying out)
Team Saskatchewan Race-off: 6:00pm –
*First cut if number rider count exceeds 20*
Saturday May 28th, 2022
Two hour training session: 8:30am – 10:30am
*Team Selection will be completed Saturday night by the selection panel (Kiran, Niall,
Globe Member, Regina Member)*

– Attitude, Sportsmanship, Coachability
– Provincial Rank (Previous year)
– Skills & Abilities
– Race-off results
– Willingness to travel out of province
