The Recreation and Transportation Committee
The Saskatchewan Cycling Association acts to improve the safety, comfort, effectiveness, and attractiveness of cycling, resulting in new opportunities for people to pursue the sport outside of competitive racing. Initiatives such as improving cyclist education and making riding safer are among the many recreation and transportation projects.
Recreation and Transportation Committee
The Recreation and Transportation Committee will work to defining the short and long term goals for recreational cycling, safe cycling advocacy and utilitarian cycling in Saskatchewan and create, develop and implement programs to meet those goals.
Can-Bike
Cycling Canada’s CAN-BIKE program is a series of courses taught on all aspects of cycling, safely and enjoyably on the road. Program development is coordinated through national instructor committees, and Cycling Canada. Course delivery and administration takes place through CAN-BIKE Delivery Agents, such as provincial and territorial cycling associations, regional instructor committees, community associations, municipal departments, service groups and the efforts of individual/independent instructors.
