Hey everybody, It's BK here.

I haven't sent out and email for sometime now, so I figured I was about due.

The last month for the Total Restoration cycling team has been kind of uneventful as far as BC cup's go. There was about 3 or 4 weeks in row where we didn't have a race in Vancouver, which kinda sucked. At this point in the season everyone wants to be racing every weekend, but the schedule had quite a gap in it. Although, the team was able to get some good training in on the weekends, consisting of a long ride on Saturday- 5 hours, and Sunday is the Kelowna group ride which is a huge local ride that is basically a hammer fest on all the mountain climbs we hit along the way. And I have been able to work on the tan lines considering the weather is usually always hot and sunny in the Okanagan!!

This past weekend was BC Cup #3 at Simon Frazer University, which had a 1km climb at about an 8% grade, and we had to do 20 laps of it! There is a race report and pics at our team website www.totalrestorationcycling.com. Basically, the race went like this- Symmetrics (yellow Jersey's) led up the climb for the first 2 laps and the pack shattered completely. I was the only one on the team to hang on to the S-train, unfortunately I was at the back and guys kept popping in front of me, leaving me to chase back on. After a few of those, I couldn't hold on any longer, and fell back to a small chase pack that Cory was in. I ended up 11th overall, which I was pretty happy with considering there were less than 20 finishers in a field of about 60. I am coming home in a few weeks to visit my friends and family, before I go back out for superweek. Things are getting wicked hot here- this past week has been above 30 degrees everyday, sweet.

Next up on the schedule is BC Provincials and the Atomic road race, which I hope to keep the good form rolling. Anywho, I think that is all for now. I gotta head to work because I am already late. Oh ya, Fresh Air Experience Kelwona has been my employer for the last 3 months and things have been awesome there. I am know as the bike builder dude, no lie it actually says it on my name tag.

Can't wait to see some old faces when I get home!! (well, not literally)

Until next time, keep fit and have fun
